Oregon Latinos face significant barriers to higher education opportunities. With shrinking budgets, economic turmoil, and a political climate that restricts access to financial assistance, the needs of students have never been greater. The IME Becas Scholarships program provides nearly one million dollars nationally for Latinos for both college and adult education programs.
The Mexican Restaurant Association (MERA) is a nonprofit organization that unites the finest restaurants together to strengthen and promote the cultural heritage of traditional Mexican cuisine.
Once a year MERA brings you the finest mexican restaurants in town for Sabor a México, a rare opportunity to meet some of Portland’s most influential Mexican chefs and savor their special dishes, all to promote education for Latinos.
